Description:
The ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading aims to give practising or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role.  The qualification does this by developing basic team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level.
 
Duration
 
Minimum of 22 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, to be completed normally within one year,
 
Credit Value
 
This is expected to be 3 credits at Level 2
 
Structure
  • A short induction lasting one hour, plus
  • Tutorial support – at least one hour
  • One mandatory unit with a credit value of 1
  • Optional units with a minimum total credit of 2
Assessment
 
Each participant must complete to a satisfactory national standard
 
Mandatory Units
  • Reflective review
Optional Units
  • Depending on the units selected, a choice of: reflective reviews, oral briefings, case studies, short answer questions, work-based assignments or centre devised alternatives.
Entry Requirements
 
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be practising or aspiring team leaders with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
