As a fellow Chamber member, welcome to the latest issue of Sentient Information Update.

Sentient Update is a free email newsletter which provides a brief overview of topical employment and health and safety issues on a regular basis.

Erratum Correction

The more eagle-eyed of you might be scratching your head over an expression in our e-mail update of 5th January on the subject of coping with ‘Ice & Snow’ etc.

In the second paragraph we commented about simple actions employers could take.  To quote “…. a few simple actions should not be outside what worst employers would be able to cope with”.  We had intended to say “most employers” not “worst employers”.  Definitely a genuine typo and not a Freudian slip.

Apologies if you thought we were having a ‘dig’ at you and in penance our editor has been sent to the car park to dig out colleagues' cars.

Happy New Year by the way!
